Meeting Minutes
This Monday we had an excellent meeting with Patricia Lutz of the Amherst History Museum. She spoke with us regarding a number of opportunities, including:
*Internships (that you can get credit for)
*Entering data into the museum's catalog
*Cleaning & painting
*Individual & small group work
She also spoke with us about projects we could work on as an organization, specifically:
*A hands-on "history of science" program for kids this spring
*Something to celebrate the Town of Amherst's 250th anniversary next year (spring and fall)
*Any other ideas we come up with as a group, we can collaborate with Pat and the museum
Pat says she has heard from a number of you already- that is great news! She was really impressed by the interest in our group. For those of you who would like to contact her, her email is amhersthistory@yahoo.com. Thanks for being such a great host for our guest!
REMEMBER, there will be no meeting this Monday due to the "holiday," but we will meet again on the 20th, at 6pm for the movie!
Have a wonderful long weekend!

Hey guys!
So I'm going down to the musuem this week to talk with Pat, but as a freshman I have no idea how to get there...can someone explain where it is?
Thanks!
Hello! This is Prof. Nash, taking over as UPD from Prof. Broadbridge. I've gotten several inquiries about the haunted campus tours. Could you please post info incl. a contact email on the History Club website? That way I can send the link when I receive a query.
Please let me know about your next meeting so that I can stop by to say hello!
Thanks,
Alice Nash

Carolyn- the museum is downtown, behind the Jones library, which is at the four-way where Bank of America is located. I would suggest taking either the Old Belchertown Rd. bus or the S. Amherst bus, and getting off at the Cowles lane stop (across from the Post Office). Then you can either walk up N. Pleasant to the four-way and take a right, or walk up Cowles lane- they're about equidistant and will both get you to the Museum! I hope this helps!
Professor Nash- Thank you for introducing yourself! Our next meeting will be our movie night next Monday at 6pm, and we would love to meet you! In general, our meetings are every Monday at 7pm, and you are more than welcome to attend at any time. I will post info about the haunted tours promptly.
We hope to meet you soon!
Thank you!!!
Hey Guys,
Its Kim.
I talked to Robert Sullivan and the day of the 27th is bad for him because he has a conference. Just letting you know before the meeting.
KIM
Thanks Kim!
